What Comes With a Raw 3D Printed Cosplay Armor Kit?

A raw cosplay armor kit gives you the printed parts for your own costume build. Border3D supplies physical unfinished prints. Sanding, priming, painting, fitting, and assembly remain part of your project.

What does raw mean?

Raw parts can show layer lines, seams, support marks, and connection points. These are normal features of the printing process. The kit does not arrive with a smooth painted surface or as a fitted, ready-to-wear costume.

Does a full set always include a helmet?

No. Read the selected pack option and the included-components description. Armor-only, helmet-only, and helmet-inclusive sets are different purchases. A product photograph may show a complete character even when the selected option supplies fewer parts. Props and accessories are included only when the listing expressly says so.

What finishing work should I plan for?

  • Inspect and test-fit the parts before permanent assembly.
  • Prepare seams and surfaces for the finish you want.
  • Obtain suitable adhesives, padding, strapping, closures, primer, and paint as needed.
  • Check movement and comfort before the event.

Hardware, magnets, visors, soft costume pieces, padding, and straps are not universal inclusions. Check the individual listing rather than assuming they come with every kit. Follow the instructions supplied with any finishing products you use.

How do I choose the right size?

Compare your measurements with the listing and contact us before ordering if you need a different size. Height alone does not determine armor fit: chest, shoulders, waist, limb measurements, clothing, and mobility also matter. Discuss which pieces need adjustment and any additional cost before production.

How long before I can wear it?

Armor and helmet kits require 2–4 weeks of production before shipping. Carrier transit and your own finishing work are additional. Share your event date before ordering so we can discuss whether the project is feasible.

Is cosplay armor protective?

No. These are costume and display pieces, not protective equipment. Do not use a costume helmet or armor as impact protection.

Can Border3D sand or paint the kit?

Our standard physical-print offering is raw and unfinished. Plan to do the finishing yourself or arrange a separate finisher.
