A scarred veteran warrior of the Oliphants of Red Ridge, Madhu carries his battle history in the missing tusk that earned him his name. Whatever took that tusk from him did not live long enough to be remembered — but Madhu is remembered, and his single remaining tusk has been sharpened into a weapon all its own. From the deep forests south of the Mundi Maard mainland, the Oliphants march with battle trumpets raised and their famous battle hymn on their lips: "Abandon all hope, ye pitiful who dare oppose us!" — and Madhu has personally helped that hymn come true more times than the historians have managed to count.
